DENSE FLOW POCKET ELBOW

The Dense Flow Pocket Elbow has a unique design that traps the incoming material in a pocket at the elbows deflection point.  The trapped material protects the elbows deflection point from the remaining material being conveyed.  When comparing the lifespan of a dense flow pocket elbow to a standard sweep bend, the pocket elbow has been know to last up to 10 times longer.  Through a heat treating process we also offer HD elbows that are hardened to 500 BHN.  The HD elbows will typically outlast our our standard cast ductile iron pocket elbows 2:1

DENSE FLOW DIVERTER VALVE

The Dense Flow Diverter Valve was developed with the same pocket design as the Dense Flow Pocket Elbow.  An air actuated arm diverts material in either a strait through or 90 Deg. orientation.  The arm is connected to two rubber diverter seals that seat against hardened seat bushings.  As mentioned, when material is being diverted, the inital material is collected in a pocket at the diverter valves diflection point.  By protecting the diverters deflection point the lifespan of the Dense Flow Diverter Valve is greatly increased.

DENSEALLOY PIPE

JDB Dense Flow Densealloy pipe begins with a standard 20' lenght of schedule 80 pipe.  The pipe is then induction heat treated to its final hardness of 600 BHN.  When compared to a standard peice of schedule 80 pipe JDB Dense Flows Densealloy pipe will last 3-5 times longer in a pneumatic conveying system.  Standard pipeline sizes of the Densealloy pipe begin at 2.5".

DENSE FLOW COUPLINGS

The Dense Flow Alignment Coupling Assembly is used to join conveying pipe or tubing with three main components: Slip-On Flanges, Coupling Collars, and a Pipe Seat Gasket. 150 # bolt circle Slip-On flanges are first placed loosely on the two pieces of pipe being joined together.  Second the Coupling Collars or “donuts” are welded to each of the pieces of pipe; one coupling collar forms a male connection, and the other forms a female connection.  Finally a gasket is placed around the male connection, and grade 5 nuts and bolts are used to join the two Slip-On Flanges together.  If properly installed the Dense Flow Alignment Coupling is able to seal pressures up to 125 psi.
